FJGES Designation

Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (JGES) is proud to announce the development of the prestigious Fellow designation. The designation of Fellow signifies an individual who has made significant contributions to JGES and/or to the field of endoscopy.

 

International Candidates: individuals must meet one or more of the following criteria

a) International Member of JGES for at least five years with participation in the JGES Congress two or more times

    (Submit copies of badges as evidence)

    Or

    International Member of JGES who participated in the JGES Congress one or more times, and also

    published one or more articles in Digestive Endoscopy (DEN)  / DEN Open as a co-author

b) Participant of the JGES STARS Program

c) JGES International Honorary Member

d) Individual who has made significant contributions to JGES and/or to the field of endoscopy

 

Requirements

a) A letter of recommendation from a current JGES Councilor supporting the candidate’s qualifications

b) Uninterrupted International membership in JGES for at least 5 years without unpaid bills

    Or

    Recommendation from the JGES International Committee supporting the candidate’s qualifications

 

Approval Process

The JGES International Committee selects candidates for Fellow of JGES, and attendants at the Board of Directors Meeting give final approval.

 

Other 

A person who carries the designation of “FJGES” and “International Honorary Member” as well can use the title of “Hon. FJGES”.
